A Thorough Evaluation
After discussing your health history, we conduct a chiropractic examination. This generally includes full spine X-rays and spinal biomechanical measurements and analysis. Using a heat-sensing instrument, called a Nervoscope, spinal subluxations are observed by slight differences in temperature. Finally, our fingertips are used to palpate, or feel the location of individual bones and how they may differ from their normal motion compared to the one above and below.
Full Spine Correction
With a complete picture of your spine it’s time to make the needed corrections.
To adjust your lower spine and pelvis, we will often have you lie on your side or use a kneeling table or our gentle hi-lo table. Subluxations in the middle back are often corrected as you rest face down on the hi-lo table.
While seated, the integrity of your spine is restored without twisting or rotating your neck. Sometimes you will hear a slight sound as the spinal disc gently shifts into a better position. Sometimes you don’t.
Either way, restoration of health is soon to follow!
Named after its developer, Dr. Clarence Gonstead, this approach came from his engineering background. His foundation principle explains how a subluxation pattern in one area of the spine can produce compensatory changes in another.
The Gonstead System is known to the chiropractic profession as a gold standard and one of the safest systems of evaluating and caring for the spine. Our doctors have had extensive training at Gonstead Seminars and are qualified in the Gonstead System of chiropractic.

In 1999, after having completed over 300 hours (now over 1,000 hours) of postgraduate study in the Gonstead System of Chiropractic, Dr. Bryce Koelling moved his family to Fulton, MO to start our practice. We started in a rented office space in downtown Fulton on Nichols Street. In April 2009 we built and moved to our new state of the art facility in Fulton Commons, in South Fulton. Since then, multiple associate doctors have been able to come and train in our facility while helping our community. After 20 years in Fulton, Koelling Family Chiropractic was able to expand and add a new location in Jefferson City.
In our office we use the Gonstead system of chiropractic. Dr. Clarence Gonstead developed a system that delivers specific chiropractic so that people heal quickly and effectively. The Gonstead system is pure chiropractic.
We strive to give you our honest opinion and best effort. Our philosophy is one of conservative, specific care in order for your body to reach its full potential. God created your body to be healthy; you were “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13-16). We embrace the understanding that health and healing comes from “above-down-inside-out”. This means that your creator heals you from the inside out.
Our desire is to take care of as many people as we can, while still providing a personal experience filled with attention and care. It’s exciting to see people heal and enjoy life when they follow our recommendations.
