A THOROUGH EVALUATION
After discussing your health history, we conduct a chiropractic examination. This generally includes full spine X-rays and spinal biomechanical measurements and analysis. Using a heat-sensing instrument, called a Nervoscope, spinal subluxations are observed by slight differences in temperature.
Finally, our fingertips are used to palpate or feel the location of individual bones and how they may differ from their normal motion compared to the one above and below.
FULL SPINE CORRECTION
With a complete picture of your spine, it’s time to make the needed corrections.
To adjust your lower spine and pelvis, we will often have you lie on your side or use a kneeling table or our gentle hi-lo table. Subluxations in the middle back are often corrected as you rest face down on the hi-lo table.
While seated, the integrity of your spine is restored without twisting or rotating your neck. Sometimes you will hear a slight sound as the spinal disc gently shifts into a better position. Sometimes you don’t.
Either way, restoration of health is soon to follow!
GONSTEAD SYSTEM
Named after its developer, Dr. Clarence Gonstead, this approach came from his engineering background. His foundation principle explains how a subluxation pattern in one area of the spine can produce compensatory changes in another.
The Gonstead System is known to the chiropractic profession as a gold standard and one of the safest systems of evaluating and caring for the spine. Our doctors have had extensive training at Gonstead Seminars and are qualified in the Gonstead System of chiropractic.
